The Case for Fewer Colours

A wardrobe with too many colours is a wardrobe with too many decisions in it. Every morning becomes a small negotiation between things that were never introduced to each other.

The fix isn't beige. It's choosing three or four tones that already agree - a dark neutral, a mid neutral, one warm accent - and refusing to buy outside them, no matter how good the fifth colour looks alone on a hanger.

Judge a new piece by what it's already standing next to, not by how it photographs by itself. Nothing in a considered wardrobe is meant to be seen alone.
